One of the most typical ways of effective advertisement is the positive feedbacks from various people who have tried a certain product. In fair view, some of the advertisers really let the users express their own testimonials based on what effect the product resulted as they use it. In the same way, California military school is also letting positive feedbacks serve not just advertisements to their own school but also allowing people to get informed how well their school has really become worthy of the feedbacks.

And speaking of testimonials, here are sets of quoted testimonials from real people who had the opportunity to go to military schools. It may not be specific as to the military schools for boys in Texas but it’s definitely worth the count.

“Our Student Veterans’ Club is growing by the minute and we’re going ahead and educating members about all the government benefits. For example, I can get my Bachelor’s degree through a Chapter 31 program, and then use the G.I. Bill to get my Master’s and PhD. When it comes to post-traumatic stress, we’re covering all the bases, providing help and advice on mental issues. Covering the physical part, we’re getting all the civilians on campus involved with a running/conditioning/nutrition training program that demonstrates what it’s really like to be a veteran.”

-	Bartolo Rodriguez
President, Veterans of Mercy College student organization, disabled veteran and former sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is a Psychology major studying for a degree in counselling. September, 2009

“As a veteran, it was so challenging to return to school. I was elated to find that Mercy College [military school] had a veteran’s affairs department. It is great to have someone you can call on when you need a little guidance. Through Mercy’s veterans department I was able to get in contact with members of student financial services that allowed me to register for class and make arrangements for my courses. With the Post 9/11 GI Bill I know that there are some bumps that must be smoothed out, but I am confident that Mercy College’s Veterans Department can handle it. I am looking forward to each semester.”

-	Sandra Knight-Hawkins
Bronx Campus, Mercy College Student Veteran and freshman, September 2009

so if you’re really still not convinced, I urge you to search for more military school testimonials and get inspired as to how these discipline-oriented schools transformed various lives of people.

Military boarding schools often receive false impression regarding the system of their education, as if students regularly involve in fighting against their co-students, otherwise, trigger more their aggressive behavior; however, all of that fallacies only poison the parents and students mind. When you really view the fact about these institutions, the proven success could be the only key to determine your own opinion, whether you deem as well the whatsoever wrong accusations about military schools.

Innumerable counts of students who graduated from military educational institutions have obtained their successful life due to the comprehensive benefits they received while they are studying in this type of educational environment. Most especially to those students who wanted to endeavor the existence in military career, once and for all, the largest part of them have indulged in the line of work they wish to attain whilst enduring the education indicating the whole aspects of a human being to be all positioned on positive side.

Laying upon you some proofs that’s evidently supporting military prep schools, boarding schools, day schools, and all of its type, the subsequent M. S. Testimonials was disclosed by the alumni of one of the most reputable military institution for girls in the United States such as Culver during a couple of interviews-

Question: What do you think makes your military boarding school exceptional relative to other boarding schools?

Answer: The balance involving the academic system and a military leadership system is made in a way that permits for creativity and careful studies while developing the life practice and leadership at the same time. I think it is this sense of balance that is to acknowledge and credit for the high evaluation of successful alumni. Compared to the growth opportunity in public schools, there is no comparison. Compared to other boarding schools, this balance is what makes Culver so outstanding. Cadets have to learn to become pro-active and take care of all the small problems before they become large. They become masters of doing things in a timely master and not leaving anything out. Yet at the same time they can focus on their studies. When CQ (class time) comes, the primary thought is education. There are many things beyond this at this school, yet the balance between academics and leadership is the reason why makes these boys become balanced young men.

Question: What might you have done differently during your boarding school experience?

Answer: Be passionate about your opportunities. It is hard work and patient to truly succeed, and as a freshman lots of students see themselves in high level in 2 years, with several gold stars as academic awards on their jackets. Those goals should be kept back and are worth working for. Students have the chance to have some remarkable experiences and grow from them, but to acquire the best rewards students have to be pro-active. The staff in school will assist with any problems, inquiries, or idea, get to know them.

In this deep reflection from the certain military boarding school in the US, deep and sincere estimation from the alumni is enough to realize how this school helps cadets/ students.

Most of us have been very familiar with military boarding school and other kinds of military-related schools. We’ve also been oriented as to what these army schools have done in order for the young generation to grow and develop into responsible citizens.

But how effective are these schools really? How are we going to attest it? Well, testimonials from parents who chose to let their children enrol to these schools will definitely serve as good evidence. Here are three of the various quoted testimonials that parents shared in a post. It was specifically detailing a definite military school to which some of you might have been interested to go to.

Here are the quoted testimonials.

“My son attended the Marine Military Academy and I must say that it was a very positive influence for him. He just earned his Doctorate in Education and is a Superintendent of Schools at a large school district in Texas. Thank you MMA for what you did for him.”
-	Submitted by a parent

I really cannot believe what some people say about the MMA, It’s the most wonderful school environment ever. Our young men become well rounded and strong in all aspects of their world around them. My Hats off to the MMA.
-	Submitted by a parent

My son attended the summer camp program and he had an excellent experience. He worked hard, made good friends, had a lot of fun, got to feel an enormous sense of accomplishment running the obstacle courses and he even learned to make his bed and sweep the floor (lol). He was also in the aerospace elective so he now has knowledge and some experience flying small planes which is SUPER COOL! I am very satisfied with my decision to send him for a month this summer. It was an experience of a lifetime for him and he will take the memories and many of the lessons he learned with him.
- Submitted by a parent

I hope the listed testimonials above served as your evaluator that indeed, military schools are worth enrolling to.

For some, California military school is their choice as well.

But no matter what choice of location a parent like you would prefer choosing, as long as it is a military school, you can guarantee that your child will learn the full maximum results. You want verbal testimonials? Here are positive feedbacks from alumni themselves who enrolled in a particular military school.

“It’s been nearly twenty years since I graduated from [MMA], and I often think back on my experiences there…The strict academic curriculum and wide variety of extracurricular activities obviously contributed greatly to my learning experience. However, what I regard as the most important aspect of my education stems from my close interaction with such fine human beings as my drill instructor, MSgt John McLaughlin, my teachers, and others on both the military and academic staffs. They provided me with such diverse perspectives on life and its many challenges that I learned to adapt to my ever changing circumstances in ways some would find impossible.”
-Tim Parkhurst, GySgt (Sel)
MMA Class of 1986

“At the age of 11 I had no discipline or direction. I was what one might call a street urchin. I passed my time getting bad grades in school and causing trouble with my friends in the neighborhood. I was very excited about the prospect of going to [MMA] though. My dad was in the Air Force and his dad was a Marine. I had a lot of respect for my Granddad and thought the Marines might be “fun”. It was not a lot of fun in the beginning but it gave me what I lacked. After six wonderful years at the academy I learned to follow, to lead, establish realistic goals, and achieve them. In 2000 I retired from active duty as a USAF Major following 21 years of service. I saw my share of combat and left a string of subordinates that feel they are better officers and NCOs for serving with me.”
- David E. Shepard, Major, USAF Ret.
MMA Class of 1977

“As I look back at the years that have passed, I wonder what series of events brought me to where I am today. Success is a matter of interpretation but I have always thought that success is measured in personal, spiritual, and business balance. Being where you want to be, with those that you want to be with and those that you deeply love. If I had to make that call in my own life, I would consider myself extremely lucky and a huge success. I attribute that, or a large portion, to those individuals that I met in my teen years at the Marine Academy. Those men, Master GySgt Bill Wolf, First Sgt. LaCourse, Sgt. Major Bill Steigerwald, and many more, instilled in me values, integrity and Esprit de Corps.”
- Allen Alexander, USMC (Ret.)
MMA Class of 1970

Why do parents choose military boarding school for their teenager? According to testimonies of some parents, they turn to this type of institutions in order to help their child gain rewarding knowledge and control to himself. The structured environment of military schools can be a great boost for each student that has been proven because of its alumni. Generally at this school, the ratio provided from teacher to student can furnish discipline they essentially need to deal their potential.

Parents of a student from one of recognized military prep schools in the U.S. share their testimony regarding their child’s modification into being an optimistic thinker. Their son named Scott Vatcher, a warrant officer of Robert Land Academy has transformed to improve their family relationship.

Said by his parents, Caroline and Mark Vatcher to his graduate son that the result of Scott’s enrolment at the academy has really develop his individuality due to his experiences. Even his relationship to his family has getting better, enhanced his self image and earns high grades, as well as opportunities for his career prospects.

Scott’s military boarding school addressed their son’s necessities as a whole with a focus on the progress of his mind, his body and his character. The academy reinforces the significance of military model including the discipline, structure, the responsibilities, and the self-determination and self-confidence. Furthermore, the demanding challenges through intellectual and physical come with encouragement and training support to assist all students in increasing their self-worth in the course of genuine achievement.

The academy’s goal of their program is to assist boys to become the finest that they can, notwithstanding the context of arranging to do their assignment in subjects such as mathematics and/ or practicing for the future basketball game. The objective is to kindle the development of self-determination and a sense of responsibility, by such means, they prepare each boy to become fulfillment, happy, and productive on their adulthood.

In the academy of Robert Land Academy, majority of the students experience a spectacular improvement on themselves and their academic feat as well as success even within the initial semester of enrolment. Usually, 100% of the graduates in the academy who apply to next level of education (college or university) probably are accepted.

“When struggling with a troubled teen, your first thought might be to send him or her to a military school. After all, military schools are supposed to instill discipline and turn troubled teens into respectful, lawful, and responsible citizens. Unfortunately, not all troubled teens will benefit from this type of program.”

True; and this is one of the things that parents should be informed when it comes to military schools. As parents, you should know and understand what military schools are all about and why was it established on the fist place. According to the source of the italic quote above, military schools prepare children for military jobs upon graduation because they are modeled after military colleges and universities. Children will not only receive as high quality an education as they would outside of the program, but they will also be required to demonstrate team work, physical endurance, and obedience to authority.

So in other words, schools like military school Florida may not really for a troubled teen at all. You see, these schools don’t accept teenagers with peers and problems. Remember that even these schools imply discipline and training; children should voluntarily go to these schools, otherwise when they are caught in disobedience they will result to expulsion.

Moreover, most military schools, even the military schools in Alabama do not have a therapeutic component as part of their curriculum. Like it was said earlier, military schools are established for those “normal” kids that don’t have any societal or personal issues. So to help your troubled teens, there are other solutions you can get refuge to.

•	Boot Camps
•	Therapy
•	Education
•	Secure Environment
•	Boarding Schools

It is never too late to give a spark of hope for your troubled teen. As long as you will continuously support him or her and show that you care for his or her welfare as you incessantly love him, they will overcome this. And so do you.

The kind of school that you will enroll will always be determined based on how it brought impact to your life. No matter how prestigious or undemanding a school may be, if you think that school is the school for you, it will surely bring impact at all.

If you have chosen military boarding school as the school that you intended to enroll to, it will also be decided whether or not it has changed your life. Well, in fair view of those who had the experience to go to army schools, it has brought them positive feedbacks. In fact, there are various testimonials from among parents and cadets themselves on what their military school had done to them.

The following quoted testimonials below are taken from the site of Massanutten Military School. Here are their praise reports:

“This is my first summer at MMA, and I love it here. One of the best parts of the school is the amazing staff and the dedication they provide. The Learning Support Program (LSP) is not different. I have gotten nothing but hard work and support from the LSP Academic Coaches. LSP helped me stay on task and stay organized…”

Many Americans are failing with the military school examinations. Low scores are not only visible in many civilian careers but also question the capability to enjoy military employment.

According to the Education Trust Washington D.C. 23 percent of the test takers failed to pass the 31 out of 99 percentile score. The report was extracted from the high school graduates of 2004-2009 who took on the part of Army’s Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test.

What is an ASVAB?

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery used to determine the qualification of a student for enlistment. The ASVAB is a multiple choice test administered by the United States Military Entrance Processing Command. The exam is made up of four subgroups mainly; math knowledge, word knowledge, arithmetic reasoning, and paragraph comprehension. It is administered to American high schools in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. This exam is also used to qualify students in different military schools in Mississippi and the other states.

Other branches in the army such as the US Navy, US Marines, Air Force and Coast Guards even have higher qualification scores at exactly 50. Those who will score above the passing rate will be eligible for military school incentives like college repayment programs and the Army College Fund.

How Could this Affect the Parties Involved?

Military service is not like any ordinary career path. It takes years of academic, physical, emotional, and psychological trainings to be a good servant in the army. In most military schools in United States, military schools in Georgia, and the other parts of the continent; the admissions are bound to be very selective. This is the very reason why many military schools in the land recruit those graduates who have the laudable academic and extra-curricular performance.

The Education Trust does not believe on the myth that unprepared students can carry along the military type of education since every step must be paired with intellect and strong will. Failing with the examination is a visible proof of less preparedness of most high school graduates of the US.

The Education Trust also reminds high school graduates that anyone of them can be enlisted if they just strive harder. Most disqualifications tell stories of being obese which is 35 percent, 18 percent for alcohol and drug addiction problems, and a part of criminal misbehavior. Sadly, the qualified 15 percent are going towards other career paths while there are fewer than 5 million young Americans —that is 15 percent only of the total 31 million young Americans there is. This makes them arrive with the conclusion that 25 percent of the American youths are ineligible for military service.

Meanwhile, the Education Trust will implement tutoring classes for schools such as Durham Public Schools. The tutoring program will target those who did not pass the ASVAB test because they are giving the away the chance for college financial assistance.

Military schools are known for their strictness and straight forward instructions. Everything is guided by rules and every misdemeanor is paid by a consequence. Total discipline is not new in the military way of learning. Definitely, what we see in movies are quiet true of these institutions. This made rise to different comments regarding military schools way of discipline.

West Point Military Academy is one of the prestigious military schools in the United States. Admission is very selective and students are usually known leaders of different cubs at different schools. The military school have been graded an “F” by some college raters and student writers. The school has received different comments from unknown military students. Some of these are:

“Rules created on this institution have been created 200 years ago and still being carried through. Breaking the rules will have you pushing up for a number of times like forgetting what is on the menu for the week if an upperclassman asks.”

“Things to be done in a routine and schedules are predictable, so it’s very easy to establish a pattern and students learn to work the smart way; not the hard way.”

“Inside the academy, you will have to wear your uniform everyday which will you teach you some discipline, however; takes out the opportunity to express your self. You are also not judged on what you have and what you don’t have”

“Plebes and yearlings have no free time for the day due to mandatory drills, mandatory intramurals, mandatory lectures, academia, and chain of orders.”

“Freshmen are only allowed one weekend/semester to go out by themselves. Wild Friday and Saturdays are spent on watching movies on our DVD’s.”

“We are not permitted to share a sit with the opposite sex and we have to keep the door open when we are inside a room with the opposite sex”

“Waking up at 0530 hours, having a shave, shine the shoes, get a haircut, prepare for inspections, and be at the barracks for taps at 11:30 pm is definitely helpful.”

All these comments make up the idea of prospective applicants and parents that their child is at the right institution. Despite negative comments about such thing as privacy, West Point implements these rules which have been proven decades ago to produce discipline individuals.

Perhaps West Point is considered to be the strictest campus worldwide. Cadets are obligated to follow and know these rules by heart. Everyone is expected to do their best in every activity either drills, or academia. Making a particular mistake will never be laughed at yet affects the whole institution as a whole – that’s why West Point makes it to a point to train every student with self discipline which will lift their army schools reputation as well as provide success for themselves.

Stanislaus Military Academy is an academy that helps juvenile offenders, teenagers that take drugs, are addicted to alcohol or hit their parents to find discipline and get back on the right track. It is a learning school for those who get sidetracked.

A few years ago, a teenager called Jonathan Gentry was such a kid. He lost track, took drugs, broke the law, … He said that he did never think about tomorrow. But after he went to the Military Academy, he turned his live around and is one of the top cadets. He found the structure and discipline he needed in the academy.

Because they combine the military discipline with education, they help students relate it to real-world situations. It prepares them for college, to go to the military or to start working. Stanislaus Military Academy is more than just education; it’s a lifestyle makeover with commitment, discipline, respect, courage and honor as core values.

But the academy is not just a way for parents to send their children to when they want to change their attitudes; it’s for students with real problems when it comes to education and behavior. Because the main priority stays focused on education.

For more information about the Stanislaus Military Academy, call John B. Allard Community School at 238-6600 or Fred Bigler at 652-3057.
