The military’s food supply requirement for its personnel is so huge that it needs the services of Supply and Warehousing Managers. They are considered Officers in the military organization and they are responsible in managing the distribution of food and supplies to different military bases.

Role

The usual duties and responsibilities of Supply and Warehousing Managers in the military organization include:

• Carefully analyze the flow and demand of supplies so that it can make forecast of the future needs and requirements of the whole organization

• Supervise personnel in the daily activity such as receiving, and distribution of supplies and other military needs

• Supervise the handling, distribution, issuances of receipts, and packages of supplies to be transported to other military bases

• Lead in the preparation of records and report materials of the daily status of the warehouse

• Make evaluation of suppliers bids so that every transactions in ordering is always advanatageous in favor of the organization

• Make careful planning of utilizing spaces and the effective distribution of supplies
